Vat Savitri Puja Samagri List: Vat Savitri Puja is a significant Hindu festival celebrated by married women in various parts of India. It is observed on the Amavasya (new moon day) in the month of Jyeshtha, typically falling in May or June. During this puja, women pray for the well-being and longevity of their husbands. The puja requires specific samagri (items) for the ritual. Some essential items include a sacred thread or mauli, vermilion (sindoor), turmeric powder, sandalwood paste, flowers, fruits, coconut, betel leaves, rice, incense sticks, camphor, and a lamp.

The Vat Savitri fast is traditionally observed on the new moon day of the Jyestha month. On this day, married women observe a fast and perform rituals around the banyan tree, seeking the long life and good health of their husbands. This year, the Vat Savitri fast coincides with a very auspicious event, as the Amavasya falls on a Monday, which is known as Somvati Amavasya. Vat Savitri Vrat Puja Vidhi(वट सावित्री व्रत पूजा विधि)

• वट सावित्री व्रत के दिन महिलाएं सूर्योदय से पहले उठ जायें.
• स्नान के बाद महिलाएं नए कपड़े, चूड़ियां पहनें और माथे पर सिंदूर लगाएं.
• ‘वट’ या बरगद के पेड़ की जड़ को जल अर्पित करें. गुड़, चना, फल, अक्षत और फूल अर्पित करें.
• वट सावित्री व्रत कथा पढ़ें या सुनें.
• महिलाएं वट वृक्ष के चारों ओर पीले या लाल रंग का धागा बांधकर ‘वट’ के पेड़ की परिक्रमा करें.
• परिक्रमा करते समय सौभाग्य और पति के लंबी आयु की कामना करें.
• वट सावित्री व्रत के दिन महिलाएं घर में बड़ों और विवाहित महिलाओं से आशीर्वाद लें.
• वट सावित्री व्रत पर दान करना भी बहुत फलदायी होता है. इस दिन लोग गरीबों और जरूरतमंदों को सामर्थ्य के अनुसार धन, भोजन और कपड़े दान करते हैं.
