14 Swapna Jain List: In the Jinasasana of Lord Mahavir, there is a significant mention of the fourteen dreams that appeared to the mother of Lord Mahavir. In addition to the auspicious birth of Mahavir, we also remember the fourteen dreams that came to Mata Trishala in connection with the birth of Lord Mahavir.
On the fifth day of the Paryushan Mahaparva, we read about Lord Mahavir’s birth in the Kalpasutra. During this time, we also recall the fourteen dreams that appeared to Mata Trishala. Let us understand the significance of these fourteen dreams.
14 Swapna Jain List in Gujarati
- હાથી : હે માતા… આપનો પુત્ર જગતમાં હાથીને જેમ નિભૅય થઇને વિચરશે.
- ઋષભ : આવનાર વીર પુત્ર તેના જ્ઞાન અને ચારિત્ર બળથી વિષય – કષાયરૂપી કાદવ – કીચડમાં સંસારમાં ફસાયેલા અનેક જીવોને બહાર કાઢશે.
- સિંહ : આ શુરવીર પુત્ર સિંહ ળની જેમ પરાક્રમી બની શાસનની ધુરા સંભાળશે.નીડર – નિભૅય બનીને વિચરશે.
- લક્ષ્મી : હે માતા …આપનો પુત્ર ભૌતિક લક્ષ્મીનો ત્યાગ કરી શાશ્વતી એવી મોક્ષ લક્ષ્મીને વરશે.
- પુષ્પની બે માળા : આવનાર બાળક મોટો થઇ આગાર અને અણગાર ધમૅ સમજાવી તીથૅની સ્થાપના કરશે.
- ચંદ્ર : હે માતા… આપનો પુત્ર ચંદ્ર સમાન શીતળ તેમજ સૌમ્ય હશે.
- સૂયૅ : આવનાર બાળક જગતમાંથી મિથ્યાત્વના અંધારા દૂર કરી,દીપક અને સૂયૅ સમાન તેજસ્વી – ઓજસ્વી બનશે.
- ધજા : જેમ મંદિર પર રહેલી ધજાથી દૂરથી ખ્યાલ આવે છે તેમ આપના પુત્રની પણ યશ કીર્તિ દૂર – સુદૂર ફેલાશે.
- કળશ : અમૃતના કળશમાંથી જેમ અમૃતપાન કરાવી શકાય તેમ આપનો લાલ…જિનવાણી રૂપી જગતને જ્ઞાનામૃત પીવડાવશે.
- પદ્મ સરોવર : શુભ અને પ્રેમનું પ્રતિક છે,આવનાર બાળક જયાં પણ જશે પ્રેમ અને પ્રસન્નતા ફેલાવશે.
- ક્ષીર સમુદ્ર : હે માતા…તમારો પુત્ર સમુદ્રની જેમ અનેક જીવાત્માનો આધાર અને નાથ બનશે.
- દેવ વિમાન : સદ્ ગતિનું પ્રતિક છે.હે માતા… તમારૂ સંતાન અનેકના સદ્ ગતિનું નિમિત્ત બનશે અને સ્વયં સિદ્ધ ગતિને વરશે.
- રત્ન રાશિ : ભૌતિક સમૃદ્ધિને પ્રગટ કરવા માટે જેમ લક્ષ્મીનું મહત્વ છે એવી રીતે આત્મિક ગુણોને પ્રગટ કરવા રત્ન રાશિનું મહત્વ છે.
- અગ્નિ : હે…રત્નકુક્ષિણી માતા…જેવી રીતે અગ્નિ પ્રજવલિત થવાથી અંધારું ચાલ્યું જાય છે તેમ આપનો લાડકવાયો કેવળ જ્ઞાન અને કેવળ દશૅનને પ્રાપ્ત કરી દુનિયાનો પ્રકાશનો પૂંજ અને તારણહાર તીથઁકર બનશે.

Trishala Mata, the mother of Lord Mahavir, experienced 14 significant dreams just before his birth. These dreams symbolized that the forthcoming child would possess exceptional strength, courage, and virtues.
He was destined to be deeply religious, destined for greatness as either a revered king or a spiritual leader. His mission would involve reformation and restoration of the religious order, guiding all beings in the universe toward spiritual salvation. Ultimately, he would attain liberation himself.
