Pik Vima List 2023 Maharashtra
During the recent monsoon season, farmers across various districts in the state faced significant losses due to erratic and delayed rainfall. The state government initiated the Crop Insurance Scheme for just Rs. 1, providing crop insurance to a staggering 1.71 crore farmers in the state.
This year, areas that didn’t receive rainfall for a minimum of 21 days will be eligible for the crop insurance benefit under the scheme.
To provide financial assistance to farmers for Diwali, Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde stated that 25% of the crop insurance will be deposited into the accounts of all eligible farmers before Diwali. With the initial disbursement of Rs. 1700 crore by both the state government and insurance companies, around 35 lakh and 8 thousand farmers are included. The crop insurance amount will be directly credited to the farmers’ accounts through debit.
