About Asia Cup 2022
Asia Cup has been commenced on 27th August 2022 with first match b/w Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. India team starts its campaign the next day with its first match with Pakistan. Initially, Asia Cup for the year 2022 was scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka but due to economic crisis in that country, the tournament has been shifted to United Arab Emirates (UAE).
6 teams (2 groups) including India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Bangaladesh are facing each other in the Asia Cup Tournament 2022. In the 1st phase, 3 teams of each group will face each other and 2 teams of each group will advance to Super 4s. In the 2nd phase, selected 4 teams will face every other opponent and winners will advance to face each other in final match. The final match is scheduled to take place on 11 September 2022.
