CTS Courses List: The Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) was introduced by the Government of India in 1950. Its primary objectives were to ensure a consistent supply of skilled workers across various trades for the domestic industry, to enhance both the quantity and quality of industrial production through structured training, to mitigate unemployment among educated youth by equipping them with employable skills, and to instill a technical and industrial mindset in the younger generation.
This scheme holds immense significance in the realm of vocational training, as it has been instrumental in nurturing skilled craftsmen to meet both current and future workforce demands. It operates through an extensive network of ITIs located across various States and Union Territories in the country.
