The Navi Mumbai Metro, an urban Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS), is constructing a single line to cater to the Navi Mumbai region, including areas like Belapur, Kharghar, Taloja, among others, in Maharashtra. Developed by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), the inauguration of the Navi Mumbai Metro is scheduled for November 17, 2023, marking a significant delay from its initial deadline of December 2014.
As per a letter from Cidco, the Navi Mumbai Metro’s inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated for October 30, 2023. To ensure readiness, a specialized team of Cidco engineers has been tasked with inspecting all metro stations to guarantee passenger safety and assess various amenities.

- Phase 1 covers the stretch from Belapur to Pendhar.
- Phase 2 spans from Taloja to Khandeshwar.
- Phase 3 connects MIDC to Pendhar.
